What President Joe Biden Said to Donald Trump During Milestone Inauguration Reunion
President Joe Biden has his family’s back.
Just minutes before leaving office amid President Donald Trump’s second Inauguration on Jan. 20, the outgoing Commander in Chief issued last-minute pardons to his siblings, which included the ex in-laws of The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King Edmonds.
On the list of the 46th President of the United State’s final pardons included brother James Biden and his wife Sara Jones Biden, sister Valerie Biden Owens and her spouse John T. Owens as well as his other brother Francis W. Biden. As Bravoholics might remember, King Edmonds was briefly married to Cuffe Biden Owens, Biden’s nephew and son of Valerie and John.
"My family has been subjected to unrelenting attacks and threats, motivated solely by a desire to hurt me—the worst kind of partisan politics," Biden said in an official statement released by the White House. "Unfortunately, I have no reason to believe these attacks will end."
The 82-year-old continued, "I believe in the rule of law, and I am optimistic that the strength of our legal institutions will ultimately prevail over politics. But baseless and politically motivated investigations wreak havoc on the lives, safety and financial security of targeted individuals and their families. Even when individuals have done nothing wrong and will ultimately be exonerated, the mere fact of being investigated or prosecuted can irreparably damage their reputations and finances."
